Raj co-founded Virident Systems in 2006 and managed as CEO and Chairman, Raj also co-founded and managed Redwood Venture Partners in 1998, a venture capital firm located in Silicon Valley. Redwood and its affiliated entities have raised funds representing over $250 million in invested capital in over 30 high tech companies. Raj has served as Board Member or as Chairman of the Board of over 15 high tech companies, including Magma, Niksun, Pranalytica, eGtran, Virident, TiE Angels, PubNub and Aspex. Raj was member of the senior business and technology executive teams of high technology companies known for his leadership and vision. He served at Sun Microsystems as CTO and Vice President of Engineering of all system products, and as VP and General Manager of Java Products for Sun Microsystems Microelectronics. Before joining Sun, Raj was Vice President and General Manager with Silicon Graphics managed all chip development including “Geometry Engine” and several system products.
Prior to co-founding CloudVolumes Matt was a Technical Director at Symantec Research Labs focused on virtualization and security. Prior to his 8 years at Symantec, Matt held various research and engineering roles at Network Associates and BindView. Matt holds 10 issued patents.
Before co-founding CloudVolumes Shaun was the Director of Product Management at Citrix for XenDesktop. He’s also worked at VMware where he was the first hire in the desktop virtualization group where he managed the first three product release of VDI/VMware View. He founded the security startup company Reconnex (acquired in 2008 by McAfee) and has held various senior management positions at Proofpoint, RSA Data Security, Lawrence Livermore National Labs, and Sandia National Labs. Shaun holds 6 issued patents.
Matthieu Suiche is a Microsoft MVP especially known for his recent forensics research regarding the Microsoft undocumented hibernation file and his related project called SandMan Framework. He was recognized as a Microsoft Student Partner for several years, worked as an intern for European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company, and has contributed to the Samba open source project.
Henrik Rosendahl, a serial high-tech entrepreneur and angel investor with 3 successful exits. Henrik was most recently CEO of Pancetera before it was acquired by Quantum Corporation. Henrik was CEO of Thinstall in San Francisco prior to the acquisition by VMware. Henrik has extensive business development and sales experience. During college Henrik founded In2itive Technologies in 1992, which was sold to SPSS in 1997. Henrik was also formerly the CEO of Interse A/S, EVP PremiTech inc. and VP at IT Factory Inc.
Klaus Oestermann is an early investor and board member in CloudVolumes. He has held a variety of executive positions in Citrix since he joined the company in 1999. He is currently the Group Vice President and General Manager for Citrix’ Cloud Networking Group. Prior to Citrix he was the CEO of CMA Systems and spend the early part of his career in IBM. He is an advisor to Venafi, investor/advisor to Goldmail, and was a board observer for Cotendo (acquired by Akamai in 2012).
Prashant Shah has been an early stage venture investor since 2001. He is an active Charter Member of TiE Silicon Valley (www.tiesv.org) and a member of its Board of Directors. He also helped launch TiE Angels and is on its Steering Committee. Previously, he spent nearly 10 years at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and was instrumental in many investments including Baynote, Bridgestream, Cenzic, EvoStor, InMage, Jareva Technologies, Krillion, Pancetera, Scalent, SyncVoice, Tizor and Voltage Security. Prior to Hummer Winblad, Prashant spent many years defining and launching high tech products. His background spans all seven layers of the OSI stack with product management roles at enCommerce (acquired by Entrust), Cypress Semiconductor and AT&T. In addition, he was on the Board of Trustees for Astia (www.astia.org) from July 2007 to April 2011.
