Our Team

Prior to joining CloudVolumes as the CEO, Raj co-founded Virident Systems in 2006 and managed as CEO and Chairman (acquired by Western Digital for $685M in 2013). Raj also co-founded and managed Redwood Venture Partners in 1998, a venture capital firm located in Silicon Valley. Redwood and its affiliated entities have raised funds representing over $250 million in invested capital in over 30 high tech companies. Raj has served as Board Member or as Chairman of the Board of over 15 high tech companies, including Magma, Niksun, Pranalytica, eGtran, Virident, TiE Angels, PubNub and Aspex. Raj was member of the senior business and technology executive teams of high technology companies known for his leadership and vision. He served at Sun Microsystems as CTO and Vice President of Engineering of all system products, and as VP and General Manager of Java Products for Sun Microsystems Microelectronics. Before joining Sun, Raj was Vice President and General Manager with Silicon Graphics managed all chip development including “Geometry Engine” and several system products.
Prior to co-founding CloudVolumes Matt was a Technical Director at Symantec Research Labs focused on virtualization and security and played a key role in Symantec’s efforts to adapt its enterprise anti-virus product for virtualization. Prior to his 8 years at Symantec, Matt held various research and engineering roles at Entercept and BindView. Matt holds more than 15 issued patents.
Before co-founding CloudVolumes Shaun was the Director of Product Management at Citrix for XenDesktop. He’s also worked at VMware where he was the first hire in the desktop virtualization group where he managed the first three product release of VDI/VMware View. He founded the security startup company Reconnex (acquired in 2008 by McAfee) and has held various senior management positions at Proofpoint, RSA Data Security, Lawrence Livermore National Labs, and Sandia National Labs. Shaun holds 6 issued patents.
Rakauskas joins CloudVolumes as EVP of WW sales to help grow sales and enterprise strategy, as well as lead business development for the company. He is a seasoned sales and business development executive with Fortune 500 experience. Previously, he was at Brocade where he led their global account efforts. Before Brocade, he held sales management positions at Juniper Networks and Funk Software, which was acquired by Juniper Networks. He holds an MBA from Boston College and a bachelor of business administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Prior to joining CloudVolumes, Labana was the CTO and vice president of product management at AppSense, where he chaired the CTO office to form the company’s strategic technical direction. During his time with the company, AppSense grew by 46 percent and Labana led the diversification of its product portfolio. Prior to AppSense, Labana was CTO and vice president of the desktop division at Citrix, where he helped to define the roadmap for Citrix’s $1 billion flagship product line and was responsible for driving and evangelizing the company’s overall technology direction. Prior to Citrix, Labana had a long tenure at Goldman Sachs where he was a vice president in the technology division. Labana was granted a US patent for enterprise mobility in 2013 and was recognized by CRN as a “Top 25 Disruptor” in 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic systems engineering with honors from the University of Manchester and has completed the finance for senior executives program at Harvard Business School. Most recently Labana has consulted for a major hedge fund in Westport Connecticut and advised numerous startups including Workspot and Atlantis Computing as well as several private equity firms.
 

Board of Directors

Henrik Rosendahl, a serial high-tech entrepreneur and angel investor with 3 successful exits. Henrik was most recently CEO of Pancetera before it was acquired by Quantum Corporation. Henrik was CEO of Thinstall in San Francisco prior to the acquisition by VMware. Henrik has extensive business development and sales experience. During college Henrik founded In2itive Technologies in 1992, which was sold to SPSS in 1997. Henrik was also formerly the CEO of Interse A/S, EVP PremiTech inc. and VP at IT Factory Inc.

Klaus Oestermann is an early investor and board member in CloudVolumes. He has held a variety of executive positions in Citrix since he joined the company in 1999. He is currently the Group Vice President and General Manager for Citrix’ Cloud Networking Group. Prior to Citrix he was the CEO of CMA Systems and spend the early part of his career in IBM. He is an advisor to Venafi, investor/advisor to Goldmail, and was a board observer for Cotendo (acquired by Akamai in 2012).
Vish has been a Venture Director at Clearstone Venture Partners since March 2002. Vish has over 30 years of leadership and management experience in the high tech industry including software, Internet, networking and telecommunications. He is a founder and served as a board member of Telera, a cutting edge voice web infrastructure company which was sold to Alcatel for $140 million in 2002. Vish was also co-founder of Excelan (1983), which was funded with $7.3 million in venture capital, went public in 1987, sold for $225 million in 1989 and went on to contribute $1 billion to Novell’s revenue in subsequent years.
